In 2018, the annual bauxite output was 13.847 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 18.91%. The main reasons for the increase in bauxite production are: 1) in June 2018, Rusal announced the completion of the first phase of the Dian Dian Dian mine project in Guinea, with an annual production capacity of 3 million tons; 2) the bauxite and alumina projects in friguia were restarted.
